Belgian companies keen in expansion of energy cooperation with Azerbaijan

President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Rovnag Abdullayev has met the Secretary of State for Foreign Trade of Belgium Pieter De Crem.

Mr. Abdullayev provided an insight into the activity of SOCAR, as well as the importance of the projects, saying Southern Gas Corridor had an important place in ensuring the energy security of Europe.

Pieter De Crem, in turn, said he was aware of the activity of SOCAR, and highlighted the Belgian companies in the relevant field.

Representatives of Belgian companies said they were interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan in various field, especially in the energy sphere.

Rovnag Abdullayev said foreign investments were protected in Azerbaijan, saying there was fruitful environment for cooperation.
